2:32 AM

So this is what babysitting a 2 week old baby does to you-
Sleep deprivation.
I've been watching Mr.Cole Parker since 12 while my sister is sleeping.
I would start off by singing to him. He looked like he enjoyed it, I mean he smiled at me while his eyes were closed. How sweet. Anyways,
He would spit his binkie out, convincing me that he was soundly asleep in my arms. So I would lay him in his crib. Moments later he was begin to whimper and cry, letting me know that I was fooled. This happened periodically until about 1:30. He fell asleep again, so I just layed him in my lap safe and sound. Then I felt an uncomfortable feeling on my leg. He had tooted, and peed. Lovely. Luckily it did not go through his diaper. It was about time for him to be fed anyways, so I went ahead and put him in his crib to change him. My sister has come into the picture now after a luxurious 2 hour nap, and is feeding him. I hope he gets enough food to put him right to sleep, otherwise guess who has to stay up with him? Me.

Dentists.


Today I had a dentist appointment at 11am. Usually I hate going to the dentist, they always give me bad news. For instance, cavaties, braces, wisdom teeth, etc. Anyways, the dentist I go to is Trinity Dental Care, in Concord. It's a nice facility, purple, which I like. My sister works at the dentist I go to part time. So when I walked in I was immediately bombarded with co-workers asking about the baby. I pulled out my phone and shared pictures with them. They're so nice. I was called in to go back, and Hilary and a fill-in were there awaiting me. They complimented on my hair. I had just put it up in a sloppy bun. The girl that was filling in for Shanise asked me if I liked plays. I replied with an enthusiastic YES, hoping she liked them too. I just love talking about theatre. We rambled on a bit about Mary Poppins, The Whiz, And Wicked. She told me that I looked like I should be on TV. I chuckled to myself and then pondered the though. What if that really happened? Woah. I had a daydream right then as myself as the next Lucille Ball. Haha, imagine; no more I Love Lucy, but I Love Kelsey instead. Hilarious, I thought. Haven came in for my cleaning. I knew she was in the room because she busted in saying "Hi Aunt Kelsey!" And gave me a hug. I love her. After the cleaning was done Dr. Jones came in to examine my gums and such. She is such a sweetheart. Everyone told me as I left to tell me sister hello and that they were going to stop by and give her and Cole Parker some presents. I love when dentists feel more like friends than doctors.

Summer Lovin'


Hello bloggers.
So this weekend, as you have read in my recent blog, I went to Myrtle Beach. It was fantastic.
We left at around 4:30 on Friday. We didn't really stop anywhere, which was nice. The ride there went pretty smoothly. Morgan drove for a good while, so I was stuck in the back with my Uncle Darrell. He loves to abuse me. Haha. I grew up the nerve to pinch him under the arm in his soft spot after he called me out on something. I found it hilarious until he pinched me back. Now we both have bruises under our left arms. Lovely. We finally arrived at the condo at around 8. It was a pretty nifty place. There were four flights of stairs though, not too friendly. It was late already, so we decided to go to Broadway at the Beach to eat. I think the place was called T.R's? Not too sure though. Anyways, it was pleasant. It was raining when we walked there, but stopped by the time we left. We strolled around looking at a few stores. Morgan found a really cute white watch for $18 at a nice little shop. I wanted one, but decided to save my money. We came back to the condo then went for a walk on the beach. It was nice, people were setting off fireworks, which I'm pretty sure is illegal, but it's the beach so hey, why not. The next day we woke up at around 10 and went straight to the beach.

Morgan and I were determined to get a tan. The ocean was beautiful that day. Absolutely lovely. I got slammed by a couple of waves, but it's all good. The plan to tan was a success! Well sort of. She is way tanner than I am, but I'm a work in progress. Haha. That night we went to Barefoot Landings. It was a pretty cool scene. We didn't really do much. Morgan got a cool Henna Tattoo. I was going to get one, but changed my mind at last minute. I don't really know why. That night we ate at the California Pizza. It was delicious. I decided to make a bold move and try something new. I had a personal Smashed Potato Pizza. It was suprisingly yummy! I would definitely get it again. Sunday we left, but before completely leaving Myrtle Beach we had to make one more stop. The Piggly Wiggly!

I got a hot pink shirt that says "I dig the pig" on the back. I love it and actually am wearing it right now. All in all, this trip was wonderful. We arrived back at Morgan's house at around 5. We went to IHop and boppin' to eat. Yum-o. Then we had a VHS movie marathon. Nothing like doing it old school sometimes. We also made a collage. It looks pretty sweet if I do say so myself.
Now I am home, watching HUGE. Not so sure on how I feel about it yet, but I think I'll try and watch it for a bit. Summer is such a blast. (:

Steppin on the beach, do do do do.

So the other day my wonderful cousin called me up. No surprise counting that we talk everyday. Anyways, she asked me if I had any plans this weekend. I figured she was going to ask me to go to the movies or something, when she burst out with the answer "WE'RE GOING TO THE BEACH." Shyeahh. I am stoked. I've only been wanting to visit the beach again since like, January. So this is a big deal for me. There will be plenty of pictures to post. So keep following bloggers.

Oh life is a grand and a beautiful thing.


So while I was at Strong Tower youth camp, my sister called me telling me that she was going into labor. My first reaction? Crying, of course. I'm a huge ball of emotion when it comes to any and everything. I then realized that maybe it would be a blessing in disguise, I didn't have so sleep in the hospital overnight and I didn't have to see my sister in pain. Great deal maybe. Well I came home at around 11 Saturday, get home and mom says she's ready to leave. I was exited to meet the new addition, so I didn't mind. We pulled up to the hospital at around 11:30, I found out that he was in the NICU. ( Neonatal intensive care unit). He was all surrounded in cords and such, pitiful. He was beautiful though. 6lbs, 14ozs, 20 and 1/4 inches long. I got to hold him before both my mom and dad, which made me feel honored. I loved him from the start. The next day we came back and he had gotten all the wires detached. I was so excited. And he got to move into the room with my sister and brother-in-law. There were bright faces all around. Today he got to come home finally. He is now sleeping in my mom's arms (Gigi is her name to him) while my sister and her husband catch up on their sleep. He wet himself and were about to change him but don't want him to cry. Wish that wouldn't happen, but it will. I can't upload pictures quite yet because I'm on my sister's Mac, but they will be up tomorrow. He is just a little bundle of joy given to us from God. Love him so much.

This One Time At Church Camp...


This week was all about one thing, Strong Tower Youth Camp!
It started off with a nice 3 hour ride there. We stopped at Denny's for lunch where a tree fell over during a terrifying storm. It landed right on the edge of a hill, where it could've rolled over and hit our church van. It was a close call, but the bus survived.

When we got there we found out the the girls all had air conditioning in their dorms, while the guys sadly did not. Oh well. Services were absolutely amazing. I loved each and everyone message. Favorite one? Well I'd say the morning message of "The Others" By PASTOR MARTIN! (Haha, Kenzie Carson). We had a christian rock concert where Andy Ferguson performed, I really didn't enjoy because it was blaring the whole time, that but it's whatever. I got a pickle and heard Kenzie go through puperty while trying to say "Paul." Haha. We went on many photograhpy adventures with our wonderful photographer, Caleb Hogg.
John the deer had a blast too. He went everywhere with us. Love him. Oh, and he even got the Holy Ghost while he was there. On the back of Nate's truck. Thank you Jesus.

Knowing us, we got not one bit of sleep. Matress surfing in the hallways, having midnight curfew, eating and eating and eating, having late night talks, and managing to fit 4 very tired girls on one very tiny matress. We met a few new people, some stalkers, other a bit over friendly. But all nice for the most part. Everyone looked absloutely adorable every service, before and afterwards we would all take pictures around the campus.

Clearly, we loved ourselves.

Through all the comotion of hairspray, ironing, getting ready, and a tiny bit of drama. Strong Tower was just fantastic. I would love to go back and do it all over again.

Strong Tower Youth Camp!

My youth group is leaving for a trip on Tuesday. Where are we going? Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, NC. Yeah it's pretty exciting. It's called Strong Tower. I've gone two years in a row and find it a blast each time. Services are just amazing, and the people you meet there are wonderful. Every year in the girls dorm we have a tradition of having a shaving cream war. It gets intense. And last year we started a new tradition, mattress surfing! If you've never tried it, you are missing out. The camp is held on college campus, which is the cutest little town. Great photo opps are everywhere. So as you can see my fellow bloggers, this is a big deal for me. I was hoping to get my nails done tomorrow for the big trip, but sadly both of the rents are working and I have no license, or car. Boo. I guess it's a good thing that they both have jobs, counting the hard times and all, yeah it's a good thing. I got busted last night for talking on the phone at 2am. Hard core, I know. I guess when I try to sneak late night phone calls, I shouldn't burst out into laughter. FAIL. Speaking of fails, I have this huge bruise on my knee. It's yucky, all black and blue. I banged it against my shower door while trying to catch myself after tripping on my rug. Fantastic was to end my day.

Hello World, Hope you're listening.

So I definitely made a blog yesterday that took me about on hour to complete. I let my sister's Mac sleep and when I opened it up, there was nothing there! Talk about traumatic.

Today I am making an effort to make another blog. I started off by waking up at around 11. I'm still not used to not waking up at 5:30am everyday for school. Thanks Summer. (:

My sister had made plans to go eat with one of her old co-workers, Paige. I decided to tag along, so we all went to eat at Off The Grill. I got a cheeseburger with krinkle fries, yum. I was afriad it would be awkward to eat with someone that I haven't heard of since I was in elementary school, but Paige was a sweet heart. After eating we went to my beloved Forever 21, to purchase some new sunglasses. The mission was a success and I got some for $5.80, cha chingggg.

Besides getting new sunglasses, I scored $20 by cleaning my sister's hardwood floors yesterday. Success. The proceeds will be put towards my Stong Tower Youth Camp trip.

I have been looking forward to this camp since June of last year. It's in Mars Hill, NC at Mars Hill College. It's super exciting. Services are awesome, you meet so many new people, and it's an oppourtunity to take tons of pictures for memories with all of my friends. It's surely going to be a blast.
Well I'm about to go clean my room so I can hopefully go to Kenzie Carson's Yard Sale tomorrow, to score some jean skirts (:
